Room 1 had an amazing time with Miles.  He was teaching us some awesome basketball skills like "jump stop", " catch and clap" and more skills will follow next week.

Room 1's Readers

Room 1 love to extend their literacy skills, they do it everyday and today was LIBRARY DAY.  They curl up with a good book and maybe a buddy and read, read and read some more.

I am very proud of you Room 1, keep up the amazing work.  

Inquiry Time

Room 1 have been working really hard on their self portraits and descriptions of themselves.

Fuel for our body

Room 1 and 2 where working together day on food groups.  

They discussed fruits and vegetables, dairy, protein and sugary food.

These guys are rocking, they know how to fuel their bodies with good fuel.

School swimming lessons are well under way.  

Room 1 are extending their water skills and as a bonus really enjoying the nice cool water.

Literacy Time

Room 1 are very focused on their learning.

Today they were demonstrating the phonemes that we have learnt this week with their think, peer, share buddies.

Kapa Haka

Room 1 are really involved in all areas of their learning.

On Wednesday afternoons they participate in whole Kapa Haka.

Here they learn some rhythm games and waiata.
