The Feast of the Assumption

The whole school celebrated "The Feast of the Assumption" today.

First we had a liturgy and then we all made Rosary rings.

Lions Book Fair

We took a quick trip down the road to visit the 'Lions Book Fair'.

We all had an amazing time and we were lucky it come back to school with a book.

Book Character Day

To celebrate "book fair week" we had a dress up day.  

Room one had a "Fancy Nancy, Footrot Flats, Spider-Man and Badjelly the Witch to name a few characters.  

Well done Room 1 you all look amazing.

Harold

Room 1 enjoyed 2 lessons with Harold this week.

We learnt about being a good friend -

we need safe hands - ringa manaaki

we use safe words - Kupu pai

and we have safe feet - waewae manaaki.

We also learnt about using warm fuzzies - saying and doing nice actions.

So keep you bucket full room 1.

Buddy reading

Room 1 where lucky to demonstrate their developing reading skills to room 5.  They were working on fluency and phrasing, one to one matching and enjoyment of the story.

Wibble Wobble

Room 1 made traffic light jelly this week.  They got some amazing language and made their taste buds dance with excitement..
