Let's Talk

Room 1 started their speeches this week.

They were working on, using a clear loud voice, standing still, having a beginning, middle and an end and good eye contact with the audience.

The audience were working on being active listeners.

Well done Room 1, you should be very proud of yourselves.

You are amazing speakers.

Construction Time

Room 1 and 5 worked together today displaying the gospel value of Community when they are "Participating and Contributing".

They were building treasure boxes, Waka Huia and decorating them with, Koru, a spiral pattern, a Pakati, a dog's pattern and a Unaunahi, fish scale.

Look at the focus by all children - it's fantastic.

They have been using non standard units to measure a variety of objects.

They have been using language like, tall, taller and tallest, small, smaller and smallest to explain the length of what they were measuring.

Lots of discussion occurred in our room today.😀

Eye tracking

Room One are back into the full swing of learning.

This week we introduced an eye tracking activity.

This activity develops our eye muscles so we can focus on written text easier.

Room One love it.
